New Orleans Saints decide on head coach for first six games of the regular season

The New Orleans Saints have been extremely silent on who will replace interim head coach Joe Vitt for the first six games of the regular season. That decision has finally been made. Offensive Line coach Aaron Kromer has been selected as the interim head coach in the absence of assistant head coach Joe Vitt.

Kromer will assume the responsibilities of assistant head coach for the Saints final two preseason games. Vitt will continue to run the day-to-day drills for the Saints until he must serve his suspension.

The selection of Aaron Kromer is great news for Saints fans. This gives defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael the ability to focus solely on improving the defense and offense.

In addition to the responsibilities of interim head coach, Kromer will continue his duties as the offensive line coach and running game coordinator.
