Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Nate Bussey claimed by Jacksonville Jaguars off waivers

When the New Orleans Saints play the Jacksonville Jaguars this Friday, there is a good chance that even though they released linebacker Nate Bussey this Saturday, they could see him again.

The reason for the deja vu is because the Jaguars put in a claim for Bussey when he hit the waiver wires Saturday afternoon.  Bussey was a 2011 seventh-round pick for the Saints and a former Illinois University teammate of current Saints linebacker/defensive end Martez Wilson.

Bussey worked hard for the Saints during training camp last year but was placed on the practice squad where he stayed until he was activated at the end of the season.

He was nicknamed “Preacher” during his school days because he said that he pretty much wore a suit where ever he went including to class.  Bussey once again was trying to make the roster but was released following the preseason game against the New England Patriots.
