The New Orleans Saints jumped into the spotlight early in preseason with being one of the teams to play in the first preseason game along with the Arizona Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Game on August 5th.
The team had left out on that previous Friday to travel to Canton, Ohio in order to let the team have a field trip to see the Hall of Fame and see a few sights before the game itself.
Immediately after defeating the Cardinals 17-10, the team headed to Foxborough and arrived early Monday morning to prep for a Tuesday and Wednesday practice with the New England Patriots before their preseason game against each other on Thursday, August 9th.
The Saints then boarded a plane to finally head home to New Orleans, touching down in the wee morning hours only to have to have a team meeting in order to review the Patriots game film.
However, the team will have some down time in order to recharge their batteries with interim head coach Joe Vitt giving the player’s this weekend off after being away for almost a solid week.
This will definitely help keep everyone fresh since the Saints will resume practice on Monday in order to begin game planning for their third preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday, August 17th in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

38 years old and Louisiana born and raised. I am married with a beautiful daughter. Became a Staff writer for Who Dat Dish in May 2011 and Editor in April 2012. Became a New Orleans Saints fan at a young age from my grandmother. She loved the Saints and passed that love of the Black and Gold onto me. I have a passion for football because I feel that it mirrors life in many ways: No matter who you are or where you come from, anyone can achieve their goals on any given day.
