Brees also complained that Goodell questioned the two before telling them how much evidence he had against the Saints in the investigation.  Lack of evidence or alleged “ghost evidence” has been a major issue with players and fans in general during the investigation and appeals.

In recent interviews with much of the media, Brees has begun to express frustration and anger towards the process used to discipline player’s and the fear that player’s have against speaking out against it and Goodell.

No doubt the source of his anger comes from the fact that Payton is not there with him and the Saints.  And not only from a coaching standpoint, but as a friend and constant mentor to Brees as well.
