Former New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Mitch King has reportedly signed with the Houston Texans.  If his name doesn’t sound familiar, you may know him by his other name.

King also goes by the nickname “Mama’s Boy”, which come from the tattoo he has on his left and right biceps.  He had a ritual of flexing his arms to show off the ink whenever he had a sack or a good play.

The only problem for King is that he didn’t have a chance to flex his arm much except during preseason last year.  He was featured in preseason in 2011 and only in three regular season games registering three total tackles.

Fans had hoped he would become another Junior Galette who came out of nowhere and was a “dark horse” underdog player that quickly became a fan favorite.

However, King was waived on June 2, 2012 as the Saints went into offseason training.  He has bounced around since going undrafted in 2009 to the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, and St. Louis Rams.
