While Tatupu was once a Pro Bowl linebacker and a defensive demon at one time, his injuries, including a previously damaged pectoral muscle, have put a major roadblock on his return to the NFL.

This will mark the second year in a row that Tatupu will have not played football.  Even if he rehabs during the offseason, you have to wonder if any team would want to take a chance on him next year.

While a team that would be in need of a linebacker coud use someone of Tatupu’s skills, the gamble of if he can stay healthy could actually outweigh that and lead to an early and unfortunate end for him.
