The final button pushed would be when ESPN reported that Brees would not report to training camp if a deal wasn’t reached by Monday, the deadline for his franchise tag.

This went against a statement that Brees had said previously about not seeing himself staying out of football for the season and also one he said at the end of the season where he would work his contract for the betterment of the team.

Yet even all this could not waiver the faith that Saints fans had for the team and team spokesperson Greg Bensel reported that the renewal rate for season ticket holders was a whopping 98%.

Not bad for a franchise that everyone was reporting  that they didn’t know if they would have their franchise quarterback or not. Yes, not bad considering the Indianapolis Colts lost a large chunk of their ticket holders after the release of Peyton Manning.

Now, at least for Who Dats, all is right with the world and the anticipation of training camp which is less than two weeks away can begin.  The familiar sight of the red #9 jersey on the practice field will be the vision they will look for.
