Strange odor reported to have come from Mercedes-Benz Superdome

A report has been filed by NOLA.com of emergency crews responding to a complaint of a strange odor coming from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this evening.

The report states that at aproximately 8:13 p.m., firefighters were called to the scene of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome because of the complaint of an “electrical odor” coming from inside the building.

After an investigation, emergency crews haven’t reported finding any type of electrical fire or damage at this time.  The report states that there is the possibility of a plastic container melted or burned in one of the ovens at the Superdome.

There is also the distinct possibility that New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis could be heating up a microwave dinner to stay late and work on the Drew Brees contract.  Nah, I didn’t think so either.
