New Orleans Saints fans are ready for things to get back to normal or as normal as they can be. That all starts with seeing their players back on the field.
Yesterday marked the one month mark for the Saints preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals in the annual Hall of Fame Game. Last year the game was lost to the fact that the lockout in the NFL prevented it from being properly showcased and players being ready.
Fans of the Saints will be getting a little bonus this year because the team will actually be playing an extra game during preseason because of the HOF contest.
The Saints other preseason games are: August 9-New England Patriots(7:30 p.m. ET), August 17-Jacksonville Jaguars(8:00 p.m.ET), August 25-Houston Texans(8:00 p.m. ET), and August 30-Tennessee Titans(7:00 p.m. ET).
It’s well known that usually starters get limited playing time during the games and then the newly drafted and undrafted free agents finish out the rest of the game. This can sometimes lead to empty seats and changed channels by the first few minutes of the third quarter.
I have a feeling though that Who Dats will soak up every morsel they can this season. The chance to see shots of quarterback Drew Brees, even on the sidelines, along with the introduction of the “who are they?” draft picks will keep them glued to the seats and the television.
