Forget Madden, the first round pick is the new “curse” in the NFL

A big curse for Blackmon is that he has yet to sign a contract with the Jaguars.  In light of the DUI offense and obvious character concerns, it could seriously cause the Jaguars to put some “escape” clauses in his contract.

As I said before, it superstitious to think this is a curse and is merely just a “wink wink”.  The only curse is taking a person in their early twenties and shoving them in the spotlight and throwing money at them when there are concerns already.

For teams in the first round don’t look at bench press reps or a player’s 40 yard dash time, check the pre-draft interviews.  Otherwise it won’t be just a curse, but a major gamble.
