Who Dat Dish writer Ian Dear recently had the opportunity to speak with New Orleans Saints 2012 fifth round draft pick Corey White.  Ian even got to ask him about the infamous quote White had about picking quarterback Drew Brees off in practice.

Last year in the NFC Divisional game in San Francisco, the New Orleans Saints defense came up short on the 49ers game winning drive.

They used their first pick in the NFL draft in the third round on defensive lineman Akiem Hicks to help generate more pressure at the line of scrimmage.

The Saints used their second defensive pick in the draft on Corey White Jr., a defensive back from Samford University. At 5’11, 206 pounds, White has great size for an NFL corner and displayed consistent tackling and run support in college.

He ran a 4.40 at his pro day (faster than both starting safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Roman Harper) and posted an impressive vertical jump at 38 1/2 inches. (just two inches less than Reggie Bush’s vertical jump!)

Utilizing the six degrees of separation, I was put in contact with White by a mutual friend from his hometown of Dunwoody, GA. I was able to interview White to get a sense of what his experience has been like as a New Orleans Saint.
