Lauscha will now be President of the Saints and “oversee the financial operations of the team, as well as adding the responsibilities of overseeing the club’s marketing, ticket operations, legal department and community affairs.”

Loomis will continue to be general manager as well as Executive Vice President and will “oversee the Saints’ Football Operations and work in unison with the Benson Family and Lauscha in running the Saints.”

In addition Loomis will have a hand in helping Benson operate the Hornets franchise.  Although he won’t be the general manager, Loomis will consult with current Hornets general manager Dell Demps.

It’s a good set of moves for Benson since he can’t handle everything and he should be thinking about lightening his load.  It’s also good news that his faith in Rita is reestablished and in turn should motivate her to do well.

For Lauscha and Loomis, they will actually be responsible for a bit more than they were before.  But knowing both of these guys, it won’t alter them in any way and will be business as usual.
