Pannell went through the Saints rookie mini-camp this past week and afterwards was actually one of the few that was signed to the current roster.  I was able to catch up with him just recently to see what the experience has been like.

GH:  You are versatile at both guard and at tackle while you were at Penn State.  Which is your preferred or best position and why is that?

Pannell:  I didn’t really care which position I played, wherever I could help the team out and contribute that’s where I wanted to play.

GH:  The Saints brought you in for a pre-draft visit.  What was that like and what did they work with you on(film study, drills, etc.)?

Pannell:  The pre-draft visit was good.  I got a chance to get familiar with the whole offensive staff, met coach Vitt, and really got a chance to sit down and talk with coach (Aaron) Kromer.  When I met with coach Kromer I went over things like my favorite plays and the schemes we ran in college.
