Thoughts on the 2012 New Orleans Saints Draft

As for the Saints sixth round selection, Andrew Tiller, offensive lineman from Syracuse, I’m not so sure about this guy.  I have not seen much of him, but his combine performance seemed OK, for the most part.  I’m going to give the Saints staff the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Finally, with their last pick of the draft, the Saints selected Marcel Jones, offensive lineman from Nebraska.  At 6′ 6″ 320 lbs., he looks like an absolute beast.

He looks a little raw on his combine tape, but the Saints are good at producing pro bowl caliber O-lineman. Jones seems to have a lot of potential with his size and athleticism, and could be a force in the future.

I know everyone is giving the Saints poor grades on their draft, but I think they did the best with what they had.  Also, the fact that Roger Goodell decided to wait until after the draft to release player suspensions, greatly affected the direction the Saints could make picks.
