Those that are still obsessed with finding the “snitch” probably won’t find any comfort. One belief is that there is not one but several by default.
Larry Holder of WIST Radio 690 AM said that former Saints defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove actually signed a statement that a bounty program existed with the team and he actively participated in it.
This was after Hargrove in 2010 had denied that such a program existed after being called by the NFL for questioning in the initial investigation. Hargrove has been suspended for eight games in the upcoming season.
It would be pure speculation but, a popular guess would be that the NFL told Hargrove that they had him dead to rights and it would be in his best interest to cooperate.
Hargrove is now with the Green Bay Packers who obviously can’t be thrilled after they just recently signed him to the roster. It’s unclear if the team knew he would be suspended or not, but I’ll take a shot in the dark and say not.
