Wide receiver Jacoby Jones could be used by the New Orleans Saints

I don’t need to remind Saints fans what happened after that.  Roby who was solid as a return man for years, hadn’t touched one all season and fumbled the ball on his first return in the game.

The Saints should at least take a look at Jones and bring him in for a workout.  One plus for Jones would be is that he is originally from New Orleans.

John McClain of Sports Radio 610 in Houston tweeted this a few hours ago:

I hope the Saints are interested in Jacoby Jones.  He’s from Louisiana.  His family and friends love the Saints.  He can help them.

McClain also tweeted that he thought Jones would make a very good reserve receiver for the Saints.  With a hole needing to be filled for the departed Robert Meachem, it would make sense.

I know that everyone is excited about incoming fourth round pick Nick Toon, but it would be surprising if he would have a Jimmy Graham-ish first season.  Jones is a veteran who could at least be signed to a one-year deal.
