New Orleans Saints select guard Andrew Tiller with their sixth round pick

The New Orleans Saints have selected Syracuse guard Andrew Tiller with the 179th pick in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Tiller had an average NFL Combine with a 5.50 second 40-yard dash and only 16 reps in the bench press.  Some scouts have him as a “below-average” athlete.

He is known mainly for a run blocker and not so much in the passing game due to his lack of explosion.  Tiller could see himself regulated to the practice squad until he becomes comfortable at the next level.
