Larry Holder of CBSSports.com has filed a RapidReports that the identity of the “whistleblower” in the New Orleans Saints “Bounty-Gate” investigation may have been revealed.

Holder wrote that filmmaker Alan Donnes said today on America’s Radio News Network that the informant is Michael Cerullo, a former defensive quality control coach.

Donnes said that Cerullo was  “disgruntled” after being terminated following the 2009 season and couldn’t find employment.

Donnes also said Cerullo thought head coach Sean Payton and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was blocking him from finding employment in the NFL.  Cerullo is currently a program aide with the University of Connecticut football team.

Looking deeper, the UConn Football website(www.courant.com) listed Cerullo as spending four seasons with the Saints including quality control on both offense and defense, assisting with linebackers, special teams, and all scout teams.

Cerullo also did film breakdown and created scouting reports.  He’s listed specifically that during the 2009-2010 season, he was an assistant to former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.
