Tight end Ladarius Green making the rounds in the NFC South

Nov 26, 2011; Tucson, AZ, USA; Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin

Louisiana-Lafayette tight end Ladarius Green is making the rounds in the NFC South before next months draft, having met with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green had a strong combine performance, running the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds while registering a 10-4 broad jump and a 7.12 three-cone drill.

Given the recent explosion of ultra-athletic pass catching tight ends in the NFL, Green is garnering plenty of attention as a potential play maker from NFL teams.

Saints tight end Jimmy Graham had a whale of a season last year posting over 1,300 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns en route to his first Pro Bowl.

The Patriots also employed a two tight-end set much of the year, using tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez to create mismatches.

They combined for 2,237 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.

Green was a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection last year, and in the last two seasons with Louisiana-Lafayette has caught 95 passes for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns.
