  • “The historic and triumphant victory in Super Bowl XLIV in 2010 could not have been achieved without the guidance, dedication, and skills of Sean Payton and the entire coaching staff.”

  • “There is widespread public opinion throughout the state of Louisiana and beyond that the penalties imposed upon the Saints are too harsh and should be reconsidered

Henry is tring to make the argument that it’s not just the New Orleans Saints, but the taxpayers who will also be suffering because of the suspensions to head coach Sean Payton and the others.

He said that the taxpayers in Louisiana contribute a large amount towards the Saints and the sanctions imposed on the club will hurt the team, taxpayers, and the state of Louisiana  as well.

Many have wondered how competitive the Saints could be this year without the guidance of Payton who, along with offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr., helps quarterback Drew Brees come up with those “how did they do that” gameplans.
