The New Orleans Saints have hired a new wide receivers coach, Henry Ellard, in a report by CBSSports.com reporter Larry Holder.

Ellard has held the same position with the St. Louis Rams(2001-2008) and the New York Jets(2009-2011).  He will take over after the position was vacated by Curtis Johnson who is now the head football coach for Tulane University.

Ellard is also a former NFL wide receiver who has played for the Los Angeles Rams, Washington Redskins, and New England Patriots.  He played from 1983-1998 and has a record of 13,777 receiving yards and 65 touchdowns.

He has done an excellent job at bringing along the Jets wide receivers and will no doubt flourish with the offensive system with the Saints.
