New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton issued an injury report for Thursday’s practice and a notable absence was still on the list leaving the question if this player could participate in the Saints playoff game this Saturday.
On the injury report for having missed practice was LB Jonathan Casillas (knee) and TE John Gilmore (toe). The third player who did not participate was WR Lance Moore (hamstring). This is not a good sign as the Saints are set to play the Lions on Saturday.
Moore has been bothered by the hamstring injury for several weeks now and was taken out of the game against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec 26. He was not active for the final game of season against the Carolina Panthers on Jan. 1 and has not practiced in practice since the Falcons game.
While Moore could still play even if he misses practice, it’s still not comforting news for today. Payton will probably wait until he’s required to do so to issue the final report of who will and won’t play on Saturday. If Moore can’t play, his presence will be greatly missed although WR Adrian Arrington filled in nicely for him on Sunday.
