New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton issued an injury report for today and explained RB Mark Ingram had a setback with his injury.
Payton explained that Ingram had some soreness with his toe injury and was held out as precaution. Ingram has suffered with turf toe as of recent and has missed practice and the last several games.
Ingram was actually inproving some and was limited yesterday in practice. Payton said simply, “It’s a setback. Got to wait until it’s healthy”. RB Chris Ivory has been filling in for Ingram in his absence.
Also, TE John Gilmore(toe) and WR Lance Moore(hamstring) did not practice. Moore missed yesterday as well after he left Monday night’s game due to the hamstring tightening back up.
On the bright side, FS Malcom Jenkins(neck) and LB Jonathan Vilma(knee) were limited in practice today after missing yesterday’s practice. Vilma was the most surprising since the thought was he would be held out for the rest of the week.
Participating full in practice was CB Patrick Robinson(hip) and LB Jonathan Casillas(knee). Cassillas would likely return to the active game roster if he continues to improve.
