Nearly 14.5 million viewers watched Monday’s New Orleans Saints 49-24 demolition of the New York Giants, according to ratings distributed by ESPN. The audience figure exceeded “Monday Night Football’s” season average despite the blowout, and gave the network the largest Monday night audience among all networks, broadcast or cable.

Take notice Green Bay. You, too, San Francisco. And good luck Dallas. If you don’t keep winning, you may have to travel to New Orleans in January.

New Orleans is coming off a monstrous 49-24 clobbering of the New York Giants yesterday on Monday Night Football. Next up for the 8-3 Saints, the Detroit Lions, this Sunday night. But Detroit will be absent one of their best players on defense when they face the Saints number one offense – defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
