With the New Orleans Saints Monday night match up against the New York Giants only days away, thankfully the injury report is brief. The Saints also scheduled a work out to help replace tight end Dave Thomas.
The Saints reported late Friday that only three players were on the injury report after practice. Defensive end Turk McBride did not practice with an ankle injury. He’s actually been nursing this injury for several weeks and probably won’t play Monday.
On a more positive note, linebacker Jonathan Vilma was limited in practice this week after missing several games and practice with a knee injury he sustained in Week 2.
Vilma had an under the radar knee surgery several weeks ago that the Saints hoped would stay under wraps. Vilma’s status for Monday should be determined by at the latest tomorrow.
Defensive end Cameron Jordan was the last on the report with his hand. The good news for the 2011 first round pick is that he has had full participation in practice and should be good for Monday.
