New Orleans Saints inactives: cornerback Patrick Robinson, fullback Korey Hall, running back Chris Ivory, linebacker Jonathan Vilma, wide receiver Adrian Arrington, offensive tackle Ray Willis, and defensive lineman Turk McBride.
Atlanta Falcons inactives: safety William Moore, linebacker Spencer Adkins, cornerback Darrin Walls, center Brett Romberg, defensive tackle Carlton Powell, offensive tackle Sam Baker, and defensive end Cliff Matthews.
Patrick Robinson was questionable all week as he did not practice while experiencing stomach issues stemming from an undisclosed illness.
Robinson’s absence at practice became a real worry for the Saints because the availibility of corner Tracy Porter was also in question.
Porter left last Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a stretcher after injuring his neck while making a tackle on receiver Mike Williams.
He latered check out fine, but has been experiencing soreness in his neck and shoulder throughout the week.
Full back Korey Hall continues to be de-activated come game day. The Saints need only one full back, and it appears that the favorite has become journey man Jed Collins.
Hall signed with the Saints in free agency after failing to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers. He was considered a lock to start until Collins began to emerge early in training camp.
Middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma will miss his second consecutive game while he recovers from a sore knee. The injury is not serious, but the Saints will re-evaluate his progress after their bye-week.
Jo-Lonn Dunbar, the former Boston College standout, will once again fill in for Vilma. Last week he accounted for eight tackles while helping the Saints defense contain Buccaneers running back LeGarrett Blount.
Chris Ivory will not play today after the Saints returning of rooke Mark Ingram. Ivory rusherd or just under 80 yards last week but aggravated his hamstring.
