New Orleans Saints RT Zach Strief To Miss More Time

(Source boneheadblog.com)

In a press conference a few minutes ago, New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton stated that right tackle Zach Strief will miss a few more games due to his knee injury.

Payton was pressed about the injury to Strief which he stated was an MCL injury to his right knee.  He further stated that Strief will probably miss 2-3 more weeks.

The Saints will face the Carolina Panthers this Sunday and then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following Sunday.  I really don’t see Strief coming back for the Buccaneers game.

I really don’t even see him coming back for the October 23 game against the Indianapolis Colts unless he’s 100%.  RT Charles Brown has been filling in for Strief and has been doing a decent job.

Unless Brown does something horribly wrong, the Saints will use him as much as possible to not rush Strief back when he’s not ready.  Doing so could only be risking Strief to further injure himself if he’s not ready.
