The New Orleans Saints have issued an injury report and status of players for Sundays game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The New Orleans Saints announced today starting center Olin Kreutz and right Tackle Zach Strief would not be available to play in the teams Sunday match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Both suffered knee injuries in last weeks come from behind win over the Houston Texans and neither were able to practice this week.
Second year center Matt Tennant will replace the injured Kreutz while Charles Brown fills in for Strief. The Saints will need solid play from the two back-ups to be successful against the well coached Jaguar defense.
Wide Receiver Marques Colston is listed as questionable – but Coach Sean Payton has suggested that Colston will see limited action. While reserve tight end David Thomas is out with a concussion.
On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Jonathan Vilma is questionable to return to action after a knee injury suffered in week 2 against Chicago kept him sidelined last week.
Vilma’s return could be a big boost to the Saints defense, who will be without linebackers Will Herring and Martez Wilson. Herring is suffering from a a hamstring problem and Wilson injured his shoulder last Sunday.
Everybody else, including cornerback Tracy Porter (right calf), defensive tackle Shaun Rogers (right elbow) and linebacker Jonathan Casillas (right foot) were able to fully practice and are listed as probable.
