Shortly after being waived by the New Orleans Saints a few days ago, defensive tackle Mitch King found his way back to the Black and Gold.
The Saints had officially announced yesterday that they had waived King which was in order to help make room on the roster for either a linebacker spot or offensive tackle.
The Saints needed to due so with the recent injuries to those positions. When King was waived, they resigned DT Swanson Miller to the practice squad.
Later that day, King cleared waivers and was added to the Saints practice squad and Miller was then released. As of Wednesday, the Saints haven’t reported any other transactions.
King was showing progress in camp and in preseason, but was released when DE Will Smith returned after serving a two game suspension.
King had started to develop a following and was known as “Mama’s Boy”, due to the tattoo’s on his left and right biceps with the same name.
