The New Orleans Saints made several roster moves Tuesday on the 53 man roster and also the practice squad.

The New Orleans Saints made the ultimate decision to place kicker Garrett Hartley on Injured Reserve ending his season.  Hartley injured his hip in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers and kicker John Kasay was signed to replace him.

The Saints waived DT Mitch King who fans began to know as “Momma’s Boy” because of the same named tattoo’s on his left and right bicep.  With the depth at defensive tackle this wasn’t a surprise, especially with mounting injuries.

The Saints had a scare Sunday against the Houston Texans when right tackle Zach Streif went down with a knee injury as well as center Olin Kreutz.  Kreutz’s injury is still unknown at this time.

The Saints also were walking the razor when it came to linebacker on Sunday.  The Saints only had three active linebacker’s that were available in the game.  LB Will Herring and LB Martez Wilson were lost to undisclosed injuries.

To add depth at offensive line and also the linebacker position, the Saints announced that they have signed T Pat McQuistan and LB Ramon Humber to the active roster.
