In his Wednesday injury report, New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton shed some light on burning questions fans have been wondering about the Wide Receiver group.
Losing WR Marques Colston to a broken collarbone for at least the next four weeks was news that devastated Saints fans. What was even worse was that there is actually a big question mark if WR Lance Moore who is nursing a groin injury will play this Sunday.
Coach Payton stated in his report that Moore was “limited” in practice today but “looked very good”. It’s still unsure if Moore will actually play this Sunday, but this news is at least encouraging.
Rumors have been flying about the Saints possibly signing a veteran wide receiver from free agency. Coach Payton also squashed those rumors by saying he is comfortable with the players they have to be able to fill in. One of those players being WR Adrian Arrington.
Arrington has spent time on the Saints practice squad and finally got his chance to play last season when he was moved off of the practice squad and inserted into the roster. While not a speedster, Arrington slowly became comfortable and was making progress.
