What was reported at first as a family emergency turned out to be a tragic loss for Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher.
When Urlacher had to travel back to Texas at the beginning of this week on sudden notice, it was suppossed to be for a “family emergency”. Unfortunately, it was revealed today in a statement by Urlacher that it was worse.
Urlacher’s mother passed away suddenly on Monday at her home in Texas and he left immediately. Urlacher had just had an incredible game this past Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons where he had an interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
It is unclear if Urlacher will return in time for the game against the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome this Sunday. He stated his main priority is to be with his family right now.
I know that myself and I’m sure the Who Dat Dish staff, would like to send out prayers and well wishes to Urlacher and his family. I’d also like to ask Who Dat Nation to do the same during this difficult time for him and his family.
