Although Kasay had been working out on his own, he’s had very little practice time with the Saints. He kicks with his left leg and that means there’s an adjustment period for the holders.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Junior Galette, one of the most popular players with fans who scan the roster looking for sleeping superstars, acknowledged Friday he is on the edge of the team’s final roster.

It’s a numbers game, and inevitably good talent nearly always gets caught up in the cut. That doesn’t mean they won’t end up on another team, but for some it does mean the end of their dream to play in the NFL.

It’s not the greatest news for the New Orleans Saints but it appears that finally the StarCaps case involving several former Saints players, and current starting defensive end Will Smith, is finally coming to an end.
