I’m sure that New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton had his usual ‘break from camp” field trip planned for the team when they landed in Oxnard, California.
But after last night’s horrid performance against the Houston Texans, that might get cancelled.
Yes, Payton has always devised a battery recharging break in camp that usually consists of team building trips to water parks or other events.
Rumors have mentioned that a surfing expedition might have been in the works. It appears though that the only surfing that might happen is over game film.
I think it was divine intervention that kept me from seeing the Saints lose to the Texans.
DirecTV, which was supposed to air the game suddenly experienced a “global problem” with showing the it and with the sound on my laptop broken, I couldn’t stream the game.
Following on Twitter, I was treated to a back and forth battle that went down the tubes quickly. The Saints were as Payton said “whipped”.
The much talked about defense had more holes than a pasta strainer and the offense could never catch a rhythm except for two plays.
