Just like the weather change that happens here in Louisiana, there are a few practice updates announced this afternoon for the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints are scheduled to resume practice today at 4 p.m. and is open to the public as well as on Wednesday. However, Thursday’s practice will be moved indoors and is closed to the public. Friday of course will be the Saints first preseason game against the San Francisco 49er’s.
It’s also been reported by Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune that the Saints will travel to Oxnard, California “between their second and third preseason games”. The second game being at the Houston Texans and the third at the Oakland Raiders.
It’s reported that the plan is to travel to Oxnard right after the preseason game against the Texans and set up camp there in preparation for the Raiders game.
A smart move by Head Coach Sean Payton to not only squeeze in as much practice time by heading straight to California, but to have a change of scenery for training camp. Also, probably to have a change of humidity as well!
