The New Orleans Saints have signed veteran center Olin Kreutz, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This move is not surprising though, because the Saints allowed Jonathan Goodwin to leave via free agency. They drafted Center Matt Tennant last year in hopes he would be ready.
But the Saints might not be ready to completely hand the job to Tennant. That’s because the Saints are a veteran team with a window to the Super Bowl that they believe is still open.
Maybe Kreutz’s arrival will force Tennant to understand that he’ll need to step it up if he really wants the job.
The more likely scenario is that the Saints will let Kreutz start for a year and give Tennant a little more time to develop.
I ‘m going to miss Jonathan Goodwin, but I think the Saints are building a team that can more than bring them another championship, and hopefully more in the future as well. Who Dat Baby!!
