The New Orleans Saints ended the 2010 season in devastating fashion, losing to the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks during the opening round of the playoffs.
Primarily it was the defense that was at fault, more accurately the poor rush defense. The Saints went into the off-season set to re-build the defense line — and re-build is exactly what they have done.
Starting in the draft the Saints took the best defensive end available when they drafted Cameron Jordan. Late in free agency the signed defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to pair with Sedrick Ellis, and this far in free agency continue to add talent.
Depth on the defensive line is staggering — Smith, Brown, Galette, McBride, Jordan, Rogers, Franklin, Ellis, Romeus — but is it enough to considered the best depth the team has ever had?
