While some Tennessee Titans fans were eager to see first round draft pick QB Jake Locker possibly start, they may have to wait a little longer now.
In a report confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter about an hour ago, Matt Hasselbeck is officially no longer a Seattle Seahawk. Hasselbeck has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with the Tennesse Titans.
While reports were flying yesterday about the deal, Schefter has now confirmed it. This leaves Kevin Kolb as one quarterback that will be in high demand.
New Orleans Saints fans will forever remember Hasselbeck for putting somewhat of a blemish on Saints safety Roman Harper’s career last season. Hasselbeck repeatedly torched Harper in the Wild Card Playoffs with several well placed throws when he was out of position and ended the Saints attempt at a Superbowl repeat.
When the Chicago Bears defeated the Seahawks in the next round, talk circulated that there was a question if Hasselbeck would return to Seattle or not. The Saints are scheduled to face the Titans in preseason at home on September 1 and in regular season at Tennessee on December 11.
