According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports and NFL Network, about 3am eastern time Monday morning the NFL player reps have agreed to terms of a new CBA, although there are still some uncertainties to follow.
What this means is that all facilities will be opening their doors on Tuesday and welcoming all of their current players back, with 10 teams set to open up traing camp on Thursday, 10 more on Friday and the remaining 12 teams will open up their training camp over the weekend.
There are still a few things that needs to be done before we can expect the mad rush of free agency, all 1900 players still to have to vote and 51% have to agree on the new terms.
The players will still need to ratify the new CBA, re-certify as a union, all of this has to be done before the final items on their list like health care benifits, and other long term retirement plans etc, can be negotiated.
Lets get ready for the free agency madness! it’s sure to follow the latest news to come out of all of the CBA confusion.
