Just when you think it’s almost over, something else happens to stall the vote on ending the NFL lockout.
At a little after 4:00 p.m. CST., NFL Network legal analyst Albert Breer tweeted that owners would be voting “very soon” on the settlement. This was also when he tweeted that the owners would be taking a 10 minutw break.
Breer tweeted that owners looked relaxed and “at ease on this break”. Almost 30 miutes later Breer tweeted a correction to the break time.
The break that Breer thought was going to be 10 minutes turned out to be 45 minutes long. A few minutes after 5:00 p.m. CST., Breer tweeted that this was no longer a break and that owners were buying dinner out for league “folks”.
One of two things, the owners are taking their sweet time or everything is wrapped up as far as voting. Hopefully the players will now put this baby to bed.
