Next up on the depth chart would be Adrian Arrington. Arrington has bounced off and on between the practice squad and active roster the last couple of seasons.
The few games that Arrington played in, he did pretty well. Knowing the offense is a big plus for him just in case free agency happens quickly. But Arrington will have to do more than pretty good to secure his spot on the roster.
Rumors are abound as to who will be available for the Wide Receiver position in free agency. Names like Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Plaxico Burress are being mentioned repeatedly.
If the Cincinnati Bengals decide to part ways with Chad Ochocinco, he’ll be another receiver in the mix.
If the Saints would want to plug a play maker instantly into the line up, these are some good options. I understand that Saints fans have balked at the idea of any of these guys but let’s look at it from a different angle.
Both Moss and Owens have been know as the “disgruntled player”. Well I guess I would too if I went from playing for big franchise names like the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys to the Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals.
Don’t forget that Moss also spent a brief time with the Minnesota Vikings and Owens with the Buffalo Bills.
