Barring the continuation of the stalemate on a new collective bargaining agreement, the Saints first order of business will be to resign the teams restricted and unrestricted free agents currently on the roster, then search the waver wire for other players that might fit in to the their system.
Earlier this off-season they went out and signed defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to help solidify their run defense in 2011.
The Saints also signed several other defensive players like defensive tackle’s Mitch King, Swanson Miller, Tom Johnson and defensive end Erza Butler, then drafted defensive ends Cameron Jordan and Greg Romeus this year.
The Saints Offense and defense are going to be a lot stronger and more resilient than they were in 2010, the Saints added depth to some positions that will prove to be exactly what was missing last season.
