The Saints signed a 10 year lease extension with the State of Louisiana in 2009 that will keep them locked in through 2025.

While it’s true that directly after Hurricane Katrina the Benson’s considered a potential move to San Antonio, over even Los Angeles, the Saints organization has rebounded nicely, as has the New Orleans area.

The Superdome is currently undergoing a state-funded $385 million dollar overhaul, part of the deal, along with the New Orleans Centre and Dominion Tower properties which were sold to Benson to be revamped and leased out to state officials.

Season tickets have sold out every year since 2006, and of course the Saints are only one year removed from winning Super Bowl XLIV over the Indianapolis Colts after the 2009 season.
