While the owners look like greedy billionaires to the common fan, take a second to realize that they are going to lose more if there is not a season in 2011 than they would lose out on this revenue split. So they want a season just as much as the players and the fans.
Most people want to side with the players because it seems like the right thing to do. I know I sided with them in the beginning. But as I read up on this lockout nonsense and I saw the broader picture, both sides seem to be behaving rather childishly.
Many speculations point to the players having no intentions of negotiating for a fair CBA and jumping right into decertification. While it is not known if it is true or not, one thing is for sure: We must be patient and wait this out, because there will be a 2011 season. Just have faith.
