The Saints continue to bring in potential draft picks for workouts and interviews keeping their promise to approach this off-season business as usual regardless of the on going lockout. The National Football Post reported the team was going to meet with OSU running back Kendall Hunter, and Texas corner back Curtis Brown among others.
While these meeting have yet to be confirmed by the Saints, NFL Network verified that the team did indeed meet with Temple defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson last week.
Multiple mock drafts have the Saints taking Wilkerson with the 24th pick given the expected run at defensive ends in the upper part of the first round.
Wilkerson is the fourth projected best defensive tackle prospect in this years draft and is a true 3 or 5 technique 4-3 style tackle similar to starter and former first round pick Sedrick Ellis, and their paring could give the Saints a vicious one two punch against the run.
