New Orleans is enroute to it’s first play-off appearence in two years and it’s first home field advantage in the histroy of the franchise.
Unfortunately the Saints have lost two close games in a row and with a loss at Carolina could become the first number one seeded team to enter the play-offs on a three game losing streak.
The game hasn’t been played yet but Payton plans to rest key starters, including Drew Brees, meaning backup QB Mark Brunell will take the ranes.
Carolina is almost as injury riddled as the Saints, wide receiver Steve Smith was placed on injured reserve with a broken arm and virtually ever running back they have is battling some sort of injury.
