26 Reasons to Love No. 26

I stumbled across a great article while on the The Times-Picayune website. The article contains a list of 26 reasons to love #26, Deuce McAllister.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

  • No. 2 - For remembering how he was treated in that backup role and making sure he didn’t make the same mistake with Reggie
  • No. 3 - For always falling forward for that extra yard
  • No. 5 - For the Philadelphia playoff game
  • No. 11 - For his 50th touchdown, a 1-yard plunge that showed us that he is still the man
  • No. 16 - For being the only Saints running back to ever make it to consecutive Pro Bowls
  • No. 17 - For not caring if he ever made a Pro Bowl
  • No. 19 - For his countless charitable acts that he doesn’t seek attention for
  • No. 21 - For always being a model of professionalism
  • No. 25 - For being a role model, a cornerstone, a teammate, and a leader
  • No. 26 - For being the definition of a Saint, in more ways than one

Ok, Deuce is terrible to say the least. At this point in his career he is irrelevant. Doesn’t Pierre Thomas get the goal line carries now? He has 1 TD. In conclusion, he is fat, out of shape, and not to mention FAT!
And remember, God wears wrangler jeans
