Saints Interested in Shaun Alexander?
Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, is reporting that the Saints have been planning to bring RB Shaun Alexander into New Orleans for a visit. Alexander has already visited the Bengals and the Broncos are could possibly be interested as well.
Shaun Alexander has struggled with injuries since winning the MVP award in 2005 and was deemed expendable in Seattle. The interest from the Saints is without a doubt a little curious and fishy at the same time. If Alexander were to be brought in, it would essentially be a running back controversy between him and Deuce McAllister. I still think Shaun Alexander has football left in him and the depleted offensive line in Seattle hurt him a ton. He would be a great pick up for some team but I’m just not sure New Orleans is the right situation for him.
